Pimples
When puberty begins, kids start to grow bigger and taller.
This can happen slowly or quickly. It can look different on different people.
To grow up healthy, it is important to eat well, to exercise, and to drink lots of water.
Some people choose to remove the hair. This is a choice you can discuss with your family.
People also start to sweat more. This can produce an strong smell, called body odour. This is normal.
It is important to have good hygiene. This means showering regularly and wearing deodorant to stay clean and refreshed.
It is important not to “pop” these pimples, because popping them can cause pain, infection, and even scarring.
You can ask your doctor to help you with acne treatments to reduce zits.
Sometimes people get pimples, or zits, during puberty. This is called acne. This can happen anywhere on the skin, like on the face, chest, back, and groin.
During puberty, some people’s hair colour changes. Hair starts growing on their face, their chest, their back, their armpits, and their groin.
