Puberty is also a time for people to discover new things about themselves. They may have new likes and dislikes.
It is good to spend time on your hobbies, either by yourself or with your friends and family. Your hobbies, thoughts, beliefs, dreams, and experiences are parts of who you are.
Sexual orientation is about someone’s physical attraction to someone else. Some people may discover that they like boys, girls, or both, or neither.
Some males are attracted to males, and are homosexual, or gay. Some females are attracted to females and are also homosexual, gay, or lesbian. Gay people like the same sex as themselves.
Some males and females can also be attracted to both males and females, and are called bisexual.
Some people are attracted to others no matter who they are, and are called pansexual.
Some people are not attracted to others at all and are asexual.
Queer means anyone who is not heterosexual.

Males attracted to females are heterosexual, also called straight. Females attracted to males are also called heterosexual and straight. Straight people like the other sex.
Some people may discover that they don’t like to wear dresses, or pants. This is all okay, and all part of growing up.
Gender is about how someone expresses part of themselves.
Gender can be expressed through behaviours, beliefs, clothing, likes, and dislikes.
